Learn the core Broadcast Cutter workflow, from importing media to exporting your finished edit.

Updated 7/31/2026

Broadcast Cutter is a local desktop editor for podcasts and spoken-word content. Your audio and video are processed on your computer, without uploading the original media to a browser.

  1. Import your audio or video.
  2. Wait for the waveform and transcript to finish processing.
  3. Use Smart Pre-editing to flag pauses, filler words, and removable segments.
  4. Review the suggestions on the timeline and fine-tune each edit.
  5. Export the finished media and keep the original project.

Broadcast Cutter never overwrites your original media. For important projects, keep a separate backup before editing.
